Last year's passage of SB 90 by the Florida Legislature made significant changes to process for voter registration and vote by mail in the State of Florida. Included in the bill are provisions:

  • Requirement that voters provide a state ID number or the last four digits of a social security number to obtain a mail ballot.

  • Shortens the time period during which a voter can remain on the state’s vote-by-mail list.

  • The law also makes it harder for voters to access secure ballot drop boxes. It requires drop boxes to be located either at a permanent county voting office or at an early voting location accessible only during early voting hours.

It's important to check your voter registration and vote by mail status by visiting the Supervisor of Elections website.
