Our Nature Coast is a special place, a place that must be sustained by smart economic development that provides good paying jobs while protecting the environment that drives our economy. Strong stewards of our community are needed to keep it beautiful and to sustain our economy. That means ensuring our schools provide the best education to our children, and a curriculum based on truth and critical thinking rather than nationalism.
My medical background and experiences provide first hand insight into the pandemic, and I will talk about those experiences in Tallahassee and work with other lawmakers to fix this mess, unlike the current office holder. I take pride in the fact that every time I sign a services authorization form for my Medicare patients that I'm providing a necessary and legitimate service to her patients.

Environment
Our pristine waterways and clear drinking water are threatened by actions of the current administration. As your representative, I will work with other lawmakers to regulate companies who siphon water from our aquifer and make sure they pay for every drop of water they take. The Nature Coast depends on our beautiful waterways. From my first day in office I will fight to ensure no new toll roads are built that will threaten those waterways.
Education
Our children must learn to be good stewards of both our environment and our country. Our curriculum must tell the truth, both the good and the ugly parts, about the history of our great nation. I believe that decisions about curriculum belong in the hands of teachers, the local school board and other education professionals, not politicians in Tallahassee. We trust our doctors to perform surgery, and our mechanics to fix our vehicles and we must trust our educators in their profession. School Board members are an essential part of this, and ensuring that these remain paid positions ensures that the well-heeled aren’t the only ones deciding what’s best for our children.
economy
Smart, environmentally friendly growth that reduces sprawl and keeps our Nature Coast from turning into the next Pinellas County is important to me. Diversifying our economy so our young people don’t move to the big city to find a job means we keep those young minds here, supporting the community they grew up in with fresh, new ideas on how to improve life for everyone. Our seniors are working long past 65 to make up for recessions that decimated their 401Ks and pensions, higher wages for everyone provides a brighter future, regardless of where someone is in their life. The stark reality is trickle down economics has never worked and the economy that supported one breadwinner in a household with children no longer exists.
